What are the numbers stamped on the rear covers? They are not the same.
Never seen them on the OTC drivers I've bought, so my SWAG is that it's some sort of tag for mating them up to a specific model line and/or speaker assembly, so wonder if they match up to a speaker customer's build lot or individual order number/bill-of-material (BOM). FWIW, it's the way we documented our shop build/shipping orders.

Are you talking about the Black ink stamped #'s ? If so they are the SERIAL #'s for the drivers as they only got a generic sticker Altec lansing model # Ohm rating Made in USA etc..........Quote:
